Brisbane to Cairns Cruise - July 2018

Circumstances were such that Robyn and I decided to take a cruise from Brisbane to Cairns and return, departing on 12 July and returning on 22 July 2018.  Just three weeks before departure I was troubled with sciatic nerve pain.  The C.T. scan revealed that I had a degenerative L4/L5 disc. A few Physio and Chiropractor appointments were undertaken but I was in trouble. Robyn organised wheelchair access through the airport and on and off the ship. I embarked on a 10 day "Health Retreat" with my very own Massage Therapist (Robyn).  When we booked, we did not specify where we wanted our cabin to be. Would you believe it?  We were assigned to a "wheelchair access" cabin with plenty of room to do all the floor exercises Robyn had planned for me as part of my "Boot Camp" regime. I needed a walking stick to get around as in a lot of pain. Never-the-less, we had a great time away.

Arriving at Tullamarine Airport on 12 July 2018.

Wheelchair access through the airport was most welcome.

We spent a few hours in Brisbane with my cousin Desley and her daughter Anita.
